The St Albans Market is an award-winning, historic outdoor street market located in the city center along St Peter’s Street and Market Place. Tracing its origins back to the 9th century, it is the oldest English street market still held on its original site. 

The market is managed by the St Albans City & District Council and features over 150 traders. It operates on a regular schedule: Charter Market (Wednesdays and Saturdays), the core twice-weekly market. The street food in the market is award winning and features global cuisines.
